WHERE'S MY SWEATER 6 x 8" Day 4 - 30 Paintings in 30 Days

My daughter's dog loves to visit. So many smells in the woods and in the summer she loves to swim.
She also loves to wear clothes, and picks her wardrobe from her very own basket filled with sweaters.

BURNING OFF OF THE FOG 10 X 13

Day 2 - 30 Paintings in 30 Days
I have once again accepted Leslie Saeta's challenge to complete a painting a day each day during the month of September. I hesitated to accept the challenge. September is a very busy month and I don't like to set a goal I can't keep.  I decided an attempt to paint daily is better than not attempting at all. I am working on a new technique. I have tried using an underpainting in the past but I found myself rarely using that method, but I just took a workshop with an artist whose work I have long admired; Barbara Jaenicke. She uses an underpainting  and I have decided to try this method again. Yesterday's painting and todays painting were both started with an underpainting. I am beginning to like this method, but I still have a few challenges to work through. this painting is available through Daily Paint Works: http://www.dailypaintworks.com/fineart/susan-klabak/burning-off-the-fog/254397

I just love when nature provides this kind of scene right before my eyes; the purple wildflowers, the deep blue sky and the yellow/orange trees, incredible.

Winter Farm Ditch 13 x 17

We still have plenty of snow, and it will be here for awhile. Two years ago the ice was off our lake on March 15. We still have snow on top of the ice, and it was very thick this year, so it won't be melting for some time.
This painting is available unframed via PayPal: http://www.dailypaintworks.com/fineart/susan-klabak/winter-farm-ditch/208217

Autumn By the River 16 x 28

As winter continues on in Wisconsin, I decided to do a colorful autumn landscape. This is one of my larger pieces so it took a few days to complete. I have difficulty working any larger because I can only handle glass that is 24 x 36, which is the size this one will be framed.
