Spring Willow 11 x 14
I have never been comfortable posting paintings before I have time to evaluate them so this challenge makes me feel quite 'exposed'; showing work that is not truly ready to be seen. I have quite a few projects and three spring shows to get ready for, but I might make changes to some of the 30 Day Challenge paintings when the 30 days is over and I have time to evaluate. Some might become larger paintings if I feel the small ones 'worked'. I an interested to know what ones you feel would work as larger paintings.
This is beautiful and so tranquil. I know exactly what you mean by putting them out before they are ready to be scene. I think I will have about 10 out of the 30 that will pass the test after the challenge and I will go back and work on those.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, I couldn't agree more. I've had to let go of some of my inhibitions and just "put it out there" to get through this challenge. In many ways, that's a good exercise as I think we tend to judge our own work more harshly than others do. Your paintings are lovely! Laurie
ReplyDeleteHola Susan, bajo mi punto de vista, esta es una de esas obras que merecen la pena. Enhorabuena.
ReplyDeleteUn saludo

ReplyDeleteMuchas gracias, Olga!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherri and Laurie. Yes I agree, I will rework some, some will be "filed" away. I think I might give myself a new challenge - see my post for 1/26/13 - 100 strokes. This really releases all inhibitions! Fun!
