Moon Bunny 11 x 11
Tomorrow is my daughter's birthday, my first child. It is not hard to instantly recall the rush of feelings the moment I first saw her. I painted this just for her, that's why there is a bunny in it; she has a special love for bunnies. Even the wild bunnies seem to know and run toward her when they see her. This moon lit bunny seems rather sad; maybe it's a mommy bunny missing her baby bunnies.

Your work keeps catching my eye on the 30 in 30 challenge site. It is stunning! I love to look at pastel paintings. I have never tried pastels myself but when I am ready for a new medium I will give it a try. I just joined Paint the Parks and hope to get that started after the challenge. Your work is inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI took a look at your blog and became a follower....your work is lovely and I envy the subject matter... but I also think that it must be quite challenging to catch the movement of waves. I think you'd really like pastels. So spontaneous.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your encouraging comments. I have loved this challenge mostly for the connections I am making with other artists. Please keep in touch and ask me about pastels if you'd like to try them. Happy Painting!!
oh mommy I love it!!!!
ReplyDeleteoh Jesi....I love you!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour pastels are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Sherri, Thanks so much for your kind comments. You and I have similar styles don't you think? I am so enjoying "meeting" other artists through this challenge.
DeleteWill keep my eye on your blog!
